The best part about making a new reel is, of course, making a ridiculously pretentious and over the top intro. One that takes up half the showreel and poorly attempts to overshadow everything else. Setting that as the benchmark and wanting to try out a new workflow in moi3d I created this.
Almost all the geometry was nurbs modeled in Moi 3D, exported to Cinema 4d and rendered in Octane.
Despite obvious limitations (the topology is terrible and you can't really uv or deform it), It's really fast to create and work with plus the rendered version looks as good as it would if you subdivision modelled it - but a lot less time consuming.

Winner of a Gold Pin at 2018 NZ Design Awards & Directed by Scott Geerson, I was part of the team working on lighting and look development for this years titles for TedX Sydney 2018.
I developed the look for a number of shots and sequences, and also created additional 3D assets inside houdini, c4d and zbrush. See the attached images and breakdowns for more details.
All work done with Cinema 4D, Octane, Redshift, Houdini and Zbrush.
The TEDx Sydney 2018 titles explore this year’s topic of Humankind by taking us through museum galleries, where our present and potential future collide with the past.
Modern subjects are mixed with classical forms, and the suspended animation of these sculptures kindles poignant evaluation of our current place within humanity’s short timeline.

Working with Yambo studio, I was part of the team on this spot for Vivo’s latest Y71 model. The presentation was meant to appeal to a younger audience in a vibrant and playful way that also showcased some of the phones key features. I worked on a number of shots both lighting and animation, as well as assisting with the edit.

The annual Sydney Vivid Festival is always a spectacular event, with the main attraction being the transformation of Sydney opera house via projection mapping.
It was a real privilege to be brought on board by Ash Bolland, Luxx.tv and Spinifex to help bring this year's theme, Audio Creatures, to life.
My role was initially modelling / texturing of 4 of the creatures from Ash's concept artwork. From then I continued to rig, light and animate the final two characters for the end of the show. A mix of traditional poly modelling techiniques mixed with cinema4d's mograph module, was used to give these creature forms both faithful to Bolland's design yet flexible enough for detailed animation.
Even better was having sound design for this year by legendary musician Amon Tobin.

I was part of the creative team for the 2016 Adobe Max Opener. With a huge resolution (15.5K x 2.6K) to design for, we created the animation that was to be mapped onto this interesting and angular designed stage.
I was responsible for the following:
Opening lights sequence (0:00 - 0:18)
Architectural transform shot (0:18 - 0:24)
Hair Shot (0:24 - 0:28)
Mirror Face Shot (0:32 - 0:42)
Bending Desert Shot (1:28 - 1:32)
Interior Kite Lighting (1:39 - 1:42)

I was asked to create one of the many motion pieces for the opening of Pause Fest 2014 in Melbourne. The theme of the festival was 'connected', and was a fun project to explore ideas along side collaboration with Sonosanctus who outdid himself on the sound design.
Airspace - Based on the theme of the creative community, as we travel through our differing ideas and inspiration together. Each interaction shapes and shifts the overall result, but the hope of creating something new and unique gives us reason to keep doing what we do. And of course who doesn't like a levitating giant squid monster?

It's not everyday you are given free reign to just create something cool. But that was the brief for this commission for School of Motion & Soundsnap. They wanted a short motion piece for a sound design competition they were about to launch. Something mechanical with lots of moving parts to provide space for the entrants to design a rich sound bed.
The sound design is from one of the contest winners Chad Wixom.

99 Frames is a competition run for the Cinema 4D community. The idea to create three seconds of animation. All submissions are then combined to form one final piece.
This year I was asked to create a trailer to build up this 2015's competition. The result is this short, following these little robot dudes on their journey to try & create their own 99 frame entry.

Short experimental piece created with cinema 4d dynamics and vray.
This was my entry that won the 99 frames competition back in 2013. A lot of bodypaint texturing and layering up of animation in Cinema 4D made for a fun but short 3 second piece.
